Description

  • Assess current IT-managed steps in the software procurement process and build foundational understanding for future improvements.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve the end-to-end lifecycle process for managing external software assets.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and align the SAM process with business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain an accurate central inventory of software licenses, user access, deployments, and usage data.
  • Manage software license renewals and coordinate internally to ensure continuity of service.
  • Conduct usage reviews and license reconciliations to ensure compliance and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Define guidelines for selecting software billing plans across company-wide and cross-team tool usage.
  • Act as an organizational administrator and owner for third-party systems such as Notion, Miro, Figma, and other tools.
  • Serve as an internal expert to help teams choose the right tools and understand licensing rules.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), IT Asset Management, or a related field, preferred.
  • Experience successfully implementing new processes or introducing SAM systems.
  • Understanding of complex licensing models and subscription terms.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools to generate actionable insights and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Strong service-oriented and collaborative approach.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage project timelines effectively with high self-motivation.
  • Proactive, systematic, and logical engineering mindset.
  • Good written and spoken English for internal and vendor communication.
  • Experience with a dedicated SAM system or advanced SAM technology components, preferred.
  • Ability to work with SAM methodologies, preferred.
  • Familiarity with diverse IT environments, preferred.
