Description

  • Design, improve, and execute test scenarios for new and existing functionality.
  • Use exploratory testing as part of daily QA work.
  • Investigate, identify, and reproduce complex user-reported issues.
  • Participate in discussions about new projects and review feature requirements.
  • Communicate closely with teammates and other teams to find optimal solutions.
  • Support the quality and continuity of JetBrains’ sales and licensing processes.
  • Contribute to testing of a family of web applications, mostly written in Kotlin.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in web application or SaaS testing, preferably white-box testing.
  • Good knowledge of browser tools such as DevTools, Postman, and code sniffers.
  • Ability to read and write code in Java or Kotlin.
  • Comfort writing complex SQL queries.
  • Strong understanding of application architecture.
  • Understanding of web application security mechanisms.
  • Ability to work across different processes and varied environments.
  • Open-minded communicator who can defend ideas reasonably and base decisions on facts.
  • Basic understanding of containerization principles (preferred).
  • Ability to use *nix command-line tools such as man, grep, find, sed, netstat, and awk.
  • Experience with VSCode (preferred).
  • Familiarity with IntelliJ IDEA (preferred).
  • Experience building automated testing infrastructure and processes (preferred).
