Description

  • Manage complex supply chains across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
  • Develop, manage, and improve the APQP process from initial design through PPAP and mass production.
  • Lead design reviews and ensure DFM/A and quality expectations are defined for interior commodities.
  • Drive and track tier supplier engineering design change activities.
  • Collaborate with Studio, Design Engineering, Purchasing, New Projects Implementation, Manufacturing, Incoming Quality, Material Planning, and Plant SQEs.
  • Perform supplier assessments, audits, and site inspections for sourcing.
  • Develop and implement process improvement plans and monitor performance metrics.
  • Document processes and compliance with ISO 9001 and AIAG/IATF 16949 standards.
  • Analyze supplier and assembly plant build data to assess capability and build completion readiness.
  • Travel 25% to 75% globally to Lucid and supplier sites on short notice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing or assembly plant environments in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, R&D, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • At least 6 years of hands-on APQP and PPAP project management experience.
  • Experience with interior components and manufacturing processes such as interior trims, wrapping, coverstock, cut/sew, injection molding, ultrasonic/infrared/heat stake welding, adhesives, EOL testing, and traceability.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings.
  • In-depth knowledge of chassis quality standards and specifications.
  • Comprehensive understanding of product quality lifecycle stages and quality gates.
  • Strong analytical skills, technical writing proficiency, and mastery of quality tools including IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, DOE, DFM/A, and GD&T.
  • Proven ability to collaborate, leverage data, innovate solutions, and solve problems effectively.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with timely delivery.
  • Automotive industry experience preferred.
  • Master’s degree in engineering preferred.
  • Certification in American Society for Quality, Six Sigma Black Belt, or similar preferred.
