Description

  • Build targeted prospect lists of automation QA professionals at companies using web products and tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
  • Run outbound outreach sequences using LinkedIn and other chosen channels, and test messaging and channels on a weekly basis.
  • Design qualification gates such as forms and lead scoring to filter prospects before founder conversations.
  • Drive early user adoption by getting 20+ weekly active users after the first month and gathering direct product feedback from engineering-focused users.
  • Document outreach learnings into a repeatable playbook that can be used to scale the funnel.
  • Own the top of the funnel, including outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and booking conversations.
  • Improve and iterate on the pipeline as results develop, with the potential to expand into demos and full-cycle B2B sales.
  • Work closely with the founder to hand off only qualified leads and support the transition from phase one to phase two growth.

Requirements

  • Experience with 0-to-1 outbound for an early-stage devtool, QA tool, infrastructure product, or a similar product.
  • Proven cold outbound results rather than relying primarily on warm inbound leads.
  • Ability to speak credibly about flaky tests, CI pain, and the differences between Playwright and Cypress.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to craft short, sharp messages that get replies.
  • High agency and a quant-minded approach to funnel metrics and experimentation.
  • Comfort saying no to leads that are a poor fit.
  • Nice to have: QA or SDET background with firsthand experience of testing pain points before moving into sales or business development.
  • Nice to have: exposure to security or compliance objections and the ability to pre-empt or route them.
  • Nice to have: content creation skills, especially on LinkedIn, where posts generate engagement.
  • Nice to have: experience as one of the first 10 employees at a startup.
