Description

  • Run the accounting function and bookkeeping processes, including coordination of in-house work and outsourced providers.
  • Own period closing activities and ensure accurate entries, including bank reconciliations and other key controls.
  • Monitor accounting data and prepare statutory financial reports and statements in line with local regulations.
  • Ensure correct application of accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  • Support annual audits and align external and internal ledgers with the external accounting firm.
  • Reconcile VAT reports, SEF invoices, and related tax entries, including benefit-in-kind reporting.
  • Collaborate with Payroll, Tax, HR, FP&A, Controlling, and international GL teams to keep processes consistent.
  • Provide recommendations to local and group stakeholders on matters related to local operations.
  • Identify process gaps and propose improvements to help the function scale.
  • Support group finance projects and cross-company initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in a local company that is part of an international group.
  • Hands-on experience in bookkeeping and reporting, with the ability to support process and control improvements.
  • Supervisory or management experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of local tax laws and rules.
  • Knowledge of local and international accounting standards, including financial instruments.
  • Experience with statutory reporting and management accounting.
  • Confidence using financial software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced international environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data and reports.
  • Reliable, proactive, self-motivated, and quick to learn new processes.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
