Description

  • Build low-latency API layers for customer-facing AI products.
  • Develop production-grade RAG systems and manage vector retrieval context.
  • Design and implement complex data ingestion pipelines for AI feature delivery.
  • Create Human-in-the-Loop workflows that support gated human review and approval.
  • Work with Data Engineers to turn raw data lakes and streams into production-ready AI prototypes.
  • Implement secure validation layers for LLM-based applications.
  • Own advanced API and GraphQL architecture for AI services.
  • Support high-throughput embedding and vector generation workflows.
  • Integrate state management and orchestration into AI automation pipelines.
  • Contribute to enterprise ingestion systems and event-driven processing.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Backend Software Engineering and AI Application Engineering, including exposure to distributed systems.
  • 2+ years of experience engineering production-grade RAG pipelines.
  • Experience managing vector retrieval context and implementing secure validation layers for LLMs.
  • Proven experience working closely with Data Engineers to rapidly prototype production-ready AI features from raw data lakes and streams.
  • Proficiency in advanced API design and GraphQL architecture.
  • Proficiency in RAG, data flows, and ingestion pipelines.
  • Proficiency in state management and Human-in-the-Loop automation.
  • Production fluency in Python.
  • Working knowledge of C# (.NET Core), Java, or Node.js/TypeScript for enterprise ingestion systems.
  • Preferred experience with token-aware pagination for GraphQL/REST endpoints and context-safe LLM workflows.
  • Preferred experience developing custom Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers.
  • Preferred experience implementing GraphQL schemas with Apollo Server or AWS AppSync.
  • Preferred experience with Amazon Bedrock APIs and Bedrock Knowledge Bases.
  • Preferred experience with hybrid retrieval using OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, pgvector, and MemoryDB/Redis OSS.
  • Preferred experience building high-throughput ingestion workers for embedding and vector generation.
  • Preferred experience with Amazon SQS, MSK (Kafka), and SaaS analytics API integrations such as Pendo, Hotjar, or Google Analytics.
  • Preferred experience with Autonomous Bedrock Agents, Bedrock Guardrails, AWS Step Functions or LangGraph, durable HITL gating workflows, idempotent processing, DLQs, and end-to-end event tracing with OpenTelemetry and Datadog.
