Description

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for patients with billing questions, payment plans, and account resolution needs.
  • Respond to inbound calls and proactively contact patients to collect past-due balances and arrange payments.
  • Review and explain Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to patients in a clear and supportive manner.
  • Run monthly patient statements and coordinate with front office, insurance follow-up, and prior authorization teams to support reimbursement workflows.
  • Identify and help patients access copay assistance programs, grants, and other financial support resources.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records while following HIPAA compliance and Medicare guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve the patient financial experience and support department goals.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of clerical or administrative experience in a healthcare setting, strongly preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of coinsurance, deductibles, and copays.
  • Familiarity with payer portals such as NaviNet and Availity, as well as EOBs.
  • Experience working within HIPAA, Medicare, and insurance compliance frameworks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, proactive mindset.
  • Remote or hybrid availability with a Monday–Friday schedule during regular business hours.
