Description

  • Own the outcome of a program end to end, including defining success, prioritizing problems, and setting milestone criteria.
  • Embed with government and industry customers to understand mission needs, constraints, and organizational dynamics.
  • Build durable relationships with end users, program teams, and executives to support deployment adoption.
  • Set direction and priorities for a small Forward Deployed Engineering team while preserving direct engineer-to-customer collaboration.
  • Shape expansion opportunities, including option years, follow-ons, and broader adoption, based on delivered outcomes.
  • Feed insights from customer engagements back into product and engineering to improve the platform.
  • Travel to customer sites, test events, hackathons, and program milestones as needed, including occasional international travel.

Requirements

  • Track record of owning outcomes without formal authority over the people delivering them.
  • Insider fluency in commercial space development at scale, including launch vehicles, engines, spacecraft, and certification-grade proof for government customers.
  • Technical conversancy across modeling and simulation, MBSE, digital threads, software development, and/or agentic design.
  • Product sense to distinguish between one-off requests and platform capabilities.
  • Ability to brief program executives and collaborate directly with engineers.
  • Strong ability to read rooms, organizational dynamics, and adoption pathways.
  • Comfort operating with incomplete information and shifting requirements.
  • Experience in a forward deployed, deployment strategist, or field delivery role at a technology or defense company (preferred).
  • Track record of converting delivery into growth, such as an option year, expansion, or pilot-to-program transition (preferred).
  • Eligibility to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance (preferred).
