Description

  • Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable backend services and algorithms.
  • Implement DevSecOps practices, including security protocols, monitoring, metrics, and automated alerts.
  • Write clean, well-documented, production-quality code with thorough test coverage.
  • Strengthen engineering practices through code reviews, test automation, and on-call support.
  • Translate complex requirements into actionable sprint tasks.
  • Mentor team members and support engineering execution across a distributed team.
  • Work on core production code, including distributed systems and machine learning paths.
  • Improve evolving systems, threat models, and CI/CD practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a similar backend engineering role.
  • Expertise in backend development in Python and at least one of Golang, Rust, or C++.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, microservices, and metrics-driven deployment.
  • Experience implementing and using monitoring and tracing solutions.
  • Experience with key-value stores and SQL databases, including performance optimization.
  • Experience with high-traffic, low-latency distributed systems, such as queue-first architectures and sharding.
  • Demonstrated architecture expertise, including gathering requirements, problem solving, and recommending solutions.
  • Willingness to learn and work across technologies such as Redis, PostgreSQL, Kafka, RabbitMQ, ClickHouse, Helm, AWS, Azure, and JavaScript is preferred.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks, attack vectors, botnets, OLAP at scale, and online or active learning systems is preferred.
  • Experience or interest in AI/ML and blockchain technologies is preferred.
  • Pre-employment screening, including verification of work history, education, and identity, plus an in-person interview, is required.
