Description

  • Design, implement, and manage AWS infrastructure across environments (dev, staging, prod) using Infrastructure as Code.
  • Automate provisioning and configuration management with Ansible and maintain idempotent, reusable IaC code.
  • Implement infrastructure changes via GitOps workflows (PRs and approvals) and manage related source control processes.
  • Set up and maintain AWS services including EC2, EKS (Kubernetes), RDS (PostgreSQL), DynamoDB, S3, VPC, IAM, and Route53.
  • Design and enforce secure networking and access controls (VPCs, subnets, security groups, VPNs, IAM roles and policies).
  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI or Jenkins to enable zero‑downtime deployments.
  • Deploy, configure, optimize, and operate databases and messaging systems (RDS PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, RabbitMQ), including backups and failover strategies.
  • Set up and manage monitoring and observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki) with dashboards, alerts, and distributed tracing (e.g., OpenTelemetry).
  • Optimize cloud resources for cost vs. performance (rightsizing, auto-scaling, reserved instances/saving plans) and run periodic cost-efficiency activities.
  • Implement and maintain security and compliance best practices, including secrets management, automated patching, vulnerability scans, and periodic audits.

Requirements

  • Senior-level DevOps experience with hands-on work in cloud infrastructure (AWS).
  • Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools (Terraform and Ansible).
  • Experience operating Kubernetes on AWS (EKS) and managing containerized workloads.
  • Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and/or Jenkins.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (RDS PostgreSQL, DynamoDB) and with message brokers (RabbitMQ).
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and tracing tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Experience implementing security best practices: IAM least-privilege, MFA, network isolation (VPC/Security Groups), WAF, and secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager).
  • Experience implementing backup and disaster recovery plans (RPO/RTO) and testing recovery procedures.
  • Familiarity with cost optimization techniques on AWS (rightsizing, auto-scaling, reserved instances/saving plans).
  • Experience performing security audits, vulnerability scans, and compliance checks, and applying automated patching.
