Description

  • Develop models, agents, and automation workflows for terminology management, content creation, mapping, and validation.
  • Build agentic workflows using LLMs, tools, APIs, knowledge sources, retrieval, and business rules.
  • Develop and maintain RAG, vector search, semantic search, and prompt/context-management solutions.
  • Partner with data science and engineering teams to productionize existing agents and advance the AI roadmap.
  • Own deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement of production AI workflows.
  • Design evaluation, testing, observability, auditability, explainability, and human-in-the-loop controls for clinically sensitive systems.
  • Build cloud-based solutions with AWS services including Bedrock, SageMaker, and Lambda, using CI/CD, containers, automated testing, and secure development practices.
  • Collaborate with clinical, mapping, product, data science, and engineering partners to determine appropriate automation, deterministic logic, and human review.
  • Translate ambiguous workflow needs into scalable technical solutions and communicate effectively across teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, data science, machine learning engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Hands-on experience building agents, agentic workflows, orchestration, and tool or function calling.
  • Experience building RAG solutions with embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, and context engineering.
  • Hands-on MLOps experience with deployment, versioning, monitoring, and CI/CD across multiple environments.
  • Strong Python skills and experience developing maintainable services, APIs, pipelines, or workflow automation.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with cloud-based AI infrastructure, preferably AWS and Amazon Bedrock.
  • Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Preferred experience with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, OpenSearch, vector databases, or AI evaluation frameworks.
  • Preferred experience with healthcare technology, clinical terminology, FHIR, SNOMED CT, LOINC, RxNorm, ICD-10, CPT, or regulated data environments.
