Description

  • Own IEM’s low-voltage product lines, including panelboards, switchboards, switchgear, and ATS products.
  • Build and lead a department of Technical Product Managers and Product Owners focused on full product lifecycle management.
  • Hire, onboard, train, and develop team members while providing ongoing guidance and upskilling.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Operations, Engineering, and other departments to align technical product management work with company strategy.
  • Set direction for product strategy and determine low-voltage product offerings.
  • Align team capacity with prioritized assignments and business needs.
  • Coordinate with vendors on product maintenance activities such as obsolescence management and redesigns.
  • Advance product lifecycle management processes and tools used by product management teams.
  • Support industrialization of new product introductions, including coordination with NPI, Sales/Estimating, ERP systems, and operational readiness efforts.
  • Monitor staff performance, communicate delays or obstacles, and track data and metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related science field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the power distribution equipment industry or a closely related industry, preferably directly with switchgear.
  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience directly managing staff.
  • Experience with low-voltage switchgear product design and manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of industry standards including UL891, UL67, UL1558, ANSI C37.20.1, and NEC/CEC.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Word and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and work through ambiguity.
  • Experience collaborating successfully with multi-disciplinary teams.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $160,000 to $205,000 per year, based on location, experience, and qualifications.
