Description

  • Lead financial strategy, planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and performance management.
  • Oversee accounting, treasury, cash management, tax, audit, and financial controls.
  • Partner with executive leadership on strategic decisions, investments, pricing, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor financial KPIs, margins, unit economics, cash flow, and liquidity.
  • Build scalable financial systems and processes to support growth.
  • Own payment and money-movement operations, including ACH, settlement, reconciliation, returns, reserves, prefunding, and liquidity.
  • Manage relationships with banking partners, payment processors, and other financial-services providers.
  • Lead and improve the Compliance Management System, including policies, risk assessments, monitoring, testing, training, reporting, and remediation.
  • Oversee compliance reviews, audits, examinations, due diligence, and regulatory change management.
  • Partner with Product, Technology, Operations, Legal, and outside counsel to deliver compliant payment experiences and manage regulatory risk.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, banking, fintech, payments, or a related field.
  • Significant senior financial leadership experience.
  • Meaningful compliance experience in banking, fintech, payments, or financial services.
  • Experience managing or holding substantial responsibility for a formal Compliance Management System or regulated financial-services compliance program.
  • Experience working directly with banks, sponsor banks, payment processors, or Banking-as-a-Service providers.
  • Experience supporting bank compliance reviews, audits, examinations, or due diligence.
  • Strong knowledge of ACH, payment operations, treasury, liquidity, reconciliation, settlement, and financial controls.
  • Expertise in financial planning, forecasting, accounting, and reporting.
  • Ability to balance regulatory obligations with business needs and translate complex requirements into practical decisions.
  • Experience in SaaS, fintech, payments, sponsor-bank, or embedded-finance relationships (preferred).
  • Familiarity with NACHA, BSA/AML, OFAC, GLBA, Regulation E/EFTA, Regulation CC, UDAAP, and identity-theft/red-flags requirements (preferred).
  • CPA, MBA, CRCM, CAMS, or a related finance or compliance credential (preferred).
  • Must be based in a U.S. state other than New York, California, New Jersey, or Rhode Island.

  • Annual salary of $235,000–$250,000, depending on experience.
