Description

Build full-stack features across React/TypeScript on the client and Django/REST services, data models, and background jobs on the server.
Own outcomes by refining scope, suggesting trade-offs, proposing simpler approaches, and delivering value in increments.
Design clean API contracts and evolve schemas and migrations.
Improve performance and reliability through query tuning, caching, and job orchestration.
Partner with Product and Design from discovery through delivery to clarify user needs, write lightweight RFCs/PRDs, and define milestones.
Keep user interfaces accessible, responsive, and trustworthy, including strong error-handling and failure-state experiences.
Raise engineering standards through testing strategy, code quality, observability, and resilience patterns.
Work with Support to investigate production issues, reduce user pain points, and turn learnings into fixes.
Engage with the open-source community to understand real-world needs and improve developer experience.
Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and mentoring to improve patterns across the codebase.

Requirements

Senior-level experience shipping production full-stack features with React/TypeScript, Python/Django, and SQL.
Strong product sense with experience making scope and trade-off decisions based on real-world usage and feedback.
Fluency with modern frontend tooling such as Vite or Webpack, Jest or Cypress, and state-management patterns.
Backend experience with REST API design, relational data modeling, migrations, performance tuning, and background job patterns.
Excellent communication skills at a senior individual contributor level, including writing clear RFCs/PRDs and actionable reviews.
Nice to have: GraphQL familiarity.
Nice to have: experience with Kafka, queues, or streaming systems.
Nice to have: experience with Spark or BigQuery.
Nice to have: experience with auth/RBAC, multi-tenant SaaS, or design systems.
Ability to work across North America, South America, or Europe, as this role is open in those regions.

Benefits

Base cash compensation of $140,000 to $200,000 USD, with final pay determined by experience, expertise, and industry knowledge.
Regional compensation aligned to local market rates across the globe.

Six-week Build and Ship cycle with a two-week Cooldown period for technical debt, integration work, and cleanup.
Rotating customer support coverage to stay close to user needs and respond quickly to issues.
