Description

  • Proactively conduct outbound calls and emails to prospective and existing advisors to drive sales and schedule meetings for the External Wholesaler.
  • Partner with the assigned External Wholesaler to develop and execute a territory sales plan focused on building advisor and intermediary relationships.
  • Monitor the sales pipeline and present accurate updates to the Associate Director of Advisor Sales.
  • Respond to inbound advisor questions about product features, pricing, investment options, plan design, regulatory updates, and the proposal process.
  • Articulate the company’s value proposition and differentiators versus modern and legacy competitors.
  • Manage a full sales process for select opportunities.
  • Serve as an on-demand point of contact for advisors and provide timely, accurate support.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activity, advisor interactions, and pipeline progress in Salesforce and Outreach.
  • Design and execute prospecting and nurturing campaigns in Outreach.
  • Send follow-up materials including marketing collateral, proposals, docusigns, and other requested documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of sales experience in the 401(k) industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales support goals in a high-activity environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Outreach.
  • Prior experience as an Internal Wholesaler in the 401(k) or defined contribution space is preferred.
  • Professional designations such as CRPS, QKA, AIF, CPFA, or ChFC are preferred.
  • Knowledge of retirement plan regulatory bodies and legislation such as FINRA, SEC, and ERISA, as well as plan design, is preferred.
  • Comfort making frequent outbound phone calls and working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Total On Target Earnings of $105,000-$110,000, including a $70,000-$75,000 base salary and a $35,000 variable target compensation.
