Description

  • Translate complex UX/UI designs into polished, responsive, and performant Kotlin mobile interfaces.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of mobile features and app capabilities.
  • Implement push notification infrastructure, payment gateways, and mobile security protocols.
  • Own the release process and maintain build hygiene for public app store deployments.
  • Design and build automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
  • Collaborate with backend teams on API design, documentation, and mobile-to-API integration.
  • Serve as the Kotlin/Android subject matter expert across cross-functional mobile projects.
  • Work with design and product teams to align mobile implementation with product goals.
  • Support cross-platform collaboration with teams working in Swift or React Native.
  • Ensure app performance, secure data handling, and robust front-end architecture.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of mobile engineering experience with a primary focus on native Kotlin development.
  • Experience launching at least 2 apps on public app stores.
  • Hands-on experience with push notifications, payment processing (such as Stripe or In-App Purchases), and mobile security best practices.
  • Familiarity or hands-on experience with Swift or cross-platform tools such as React Native.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
  • Practical experience working with at least one major cloud platform: GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Strong understanding of REST/GraphQL API design, API documentation standards, and basic backend concepts such as Node.js.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and interop with legacy View-based UI where needed.
  • Experience with OAuth2/OIDC token flows, PKCE, secure credential storage in Android Keystore, and certificate pinning.
  • Demonstrated experience with JUnit, MockK, Espresso, and familiarity with contract testing against API specifications.
  • Experience integrating hosted third-party flows via WebView and implementing deep links or app links.
  • Working knowledge of mobile accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and platform accessibility tooling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • If the selected candidate holds an engineering degree or related profession, they must present a professional license.
