Description

  • Lead and manage a mid-market sales team to meet or exceed monthly activity, forecast, and revenue targets.
  • Coach direct reports through constructive feedback, trust-building, and ongoing development.
  • Develop team members’ sales capabilities and improve overall sales performance.
  • Participate hands-on in deal progression, review, and sales strategy execution.
  • Collaborate with other managers, cross-functional partners, directors, and executives on business growth initiatives.
  • Deliver training on inbound and outbound sales, multi-product platform sales, and product and marketing topics.
  • Recruit, select, and train new sales team members to maintain team headcount.
  • Build and execute growth plans based on an understanding of the local market.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge of the HubSpot platform and related marketing and sales practices.
  • Demonstrate HubSpot’s core values and leadership traits in day-to-day management.

Requirements

  • Over 2 years of people management experience.
  • 5+ years of SaaS or web/IT product sales experience.
  • Experience leading a consultative sales process.
  • Experience handling complex deals involving multiple stakeholders such as business owners, marketing contacts, and executives.
  • Professional fluency in Japanese and English is preferred.
  • Business-level Japanese language experience.
  • Business-level reading and writing in English.
  • Experience in direct and indirect sales, especially channel sales, is a plus.
  • Strong coaching skills with the ability to observe, evaluate, and improve results.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple objectives and drive team behavior changes through analysis.
