Description

  • Provide first-line legal support to North America sales teams on commercial and legal issues.
  • Review and negotiate commercial agreements, including SaaS agreements, MSAs, DPAs, consulting agreements, NDAs, partnership agreements, and statements of work.
  • Partner with Sales and Deal Desk stakeholders to understand business objectives and drive strategic improvements.
  • Work with internal technology teams to build AI-powered tools and processes that improve business impact.
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and cross-functional teams to solve for the customer while managing HubSpot’s risk.
  • Provide clear legal advice and explain the rationale behind decisions to business stakeholders.
  • Develop strong working relationships based on trust with internal team members.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced, transparent environment.
  • Integrate technology and use or build AI in daily legal practice.
  • Support HubSpot’s commercial legal function with a customer-centric approach.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited law school.
  • 5+ years of relevant in-house legal experience.
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing with a State Bar Association or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Significant experience independently negotiating Enterprise SaaS contracts.
  • Experience negotiating contracts in highly regulated industries such as Financial Services and Healthcare.
  • Strong legal drafting and writing skills.
  • Strong foundation in data protection and privacy law.
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally with business stakeholders to support strategic goals and make informed recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills, especially using internal tools such as Slack and Zoom.
  • Self-driven, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, transparent environment.
  • Excited to deliver solutions beyond existing playbooks and enablement.
  • Passionate about HubSpot’s Culture Code and customer-first mindset.

Benefits

  • Annual cash compensation range of $173,000 to $277,000 USD.
  • Cash compensation may include base salary, on-target commission for eligible roles, and annual bonus targets.
  • Some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan and receive restricted stock units (RSUs).
  • Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
  • Benefits and perks are offered as part of the total compensation package.
  • Flexible work environment with options for remote or office-based work.
