Description

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll and variable compensation processing in BambooHR.
  • Ensure multi-jurisdictional payroll tax compliance, including FLSA audits and classification updates.
  • Partner with Finance and HR to reconcile payroll accounts, resolve discrepancies, and prepare payroll reports.
  • Manage employee reimbursement payments, taxable reimbursements, reconciliations, audit records, and policy exceptions.
  • Serve as an escalation point for payroll and reimbursement questions, disputes, and exceptions.
  • Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, terminations, carrier updates, and eligibility inquiries.
  • Liaise with benefits carriers and third-party administrators to resolve eligibility and file issues.
  • Deliver monthly new-hire benefits orientations and support payroll and benefits onboarding and offboarding.
  • Prepare ACA reporting and support ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and annual 401(k) audit requirements.
  • Improve payroll, benefits, reimbursement, documentation, and employee support processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of payroll and benefits administration experience, preferably in a multi-state environment.
  • Proficiency with payroll systems such as ADP or Paylocity and HRIS platforms; BambooHR experience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience managing payroll tax compliance and registrations across multiple U.S. states.
  • Deep knowledge of federal and state labor and payroll tax regulations, plus ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, and COBRA requirements.
  • Experience supporting 401(k) audits and using expense reimbursement platforms.
  • Knowledge of self-funded health benefits plans and related compliance requirements.
  • Experience with payroll and benefits regulatory reporting and compliance.
  • Experience in a professional services organization or remote-workforce environment (preferred).
  • Certified Payroll Professional or other relevant certification preferred; CEBS, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP is a plus.
