Description

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable distributed systems and infrastructure for the Care Platform.
  • Build and manage the foundational infrastructure and core services that support the engineering organization.
  • Own build and deployment pipelines for services across development, staging, and production environments.
  • Create infrastructure patterns and abstractions that help teams solve recurring platform problems.
  • Design and implement Python application foundations, including API services and event-processing components.
  • Use Infrastructure as Code to create reproducible and scalable environment setups.
  • Build and support AWS-based infrastructure for event-driven systems, Kubernetes-hosted services, and serverless functions.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and ArgoCD.
  • Instrument observability with tools such as CloudWatch and DataDog to monitor and optimize performance across environments.
  • Scale infrastructure to meet demand while managing cost effectively.
  • Define and measure standards for quality, security, scalability, and availability.
  • Mentor other engineers and serve as a technical consultant to cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of professional experience on a platform engineering team within a product-centric company.
  • Deep practical knowledge of cloud platforms, operations, automation, and containerization technologies such as Kubernetes.
  • Experience designing and implementing infrastructure on AWS.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ArgoCD, or similar tools.
  • Experience automating code promotion and configuration management from development through production.
  • Experience with observability tools such as CloudWatch and DataDog.
  • Experience defining and measuring standards for quality, security, scalability, and availability.
  • Experience working with RPC architecture is preferred.
  • Experience at a technology startup or in environments with evolving platform maturity is preferred.
  • First-hand experience with multiple distributed architecture patterns is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Interest in mentoring and developing talent.
  • A product-first mindset and customer obsession.
  • Remote-first work environment; compensation based on qualifications, skills, experience, education, and training.
