Description

  • Maintain, review, and validate payroll data for the US, Canada, UK, and Employer of Record payrolls.
  • Process final paychecks, adjustments, special payments, and employee expense reports.
  • Manage the Navan travel platform and employee data updates across payroll and spend systems.
  • Ensure compliance with global payroll laws, tax regulations, PTO requirements, and company policies.
  • Audit payroll tax records and lead annual 401(k) and workers’ compensation audits.
  • Prepare payroll journal entries, reconcile payroll accounts, and perform monthly expense flux analysis.
  • Create process documentation, maintain internal controls, and support payroll system upgrades.
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries and provide accurate, timely customer support.
  • Prepare standard and ad hoc payroll reports with commentary on trends and variances.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance to validate hires, terminations, promotions, compensation changes, benefits, and employee program allocations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of relevant payroll experience in a SaaS or startup environment.
  • Proficiency in Rippling is required.
  • Experience managing global payroll and multiple subsidiaries.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll providers such as Rippling, Vistra, and Remote.
  • Experience as a Payroll Manager or in a similar role, including knowledge of global tax regulations.
  • Familiarity with account reconciliation and general ledger maintenance.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel preferred.
