Description

  • Design, implement, and maintain operational best practices for automation and tooling development.
  • Lead CI/CD best practices, standards, and processes across the development lifecycle.
  • Maintain and upgrade the existing configuration management environment to support development teams.
  • Build and deploy tools that improve the enterprise deployment framework and align with availability, scalability, and resiliency goals.
  • Develop and implement zero-downtime deployment and patching strategies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify bottlenecks and improve deployment and build processes.
  • Automate repetitive tasks and troubleshoot issues to support problem management and prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure solutions comply with security, regulatory, audit, and monitoring requirements.
  • Promote and implement continuous testing practices within the DevOps lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS or GCP.
  • 5+ years of experience with Git and other revision control systems.
  • Proven experience working in Agile teams and project environments.
  • Advanced scripting skills in at least one of Perl, Python, Java, or Node.js.
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, AWS CodeBuild, or similar CI/CD tools.
  • Proficiency in cloud automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar Infrastructure as Code tools.
  • Extensive experience delivering and managing solutions on AWS; additional Azure and/or GCP experience is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and serve as an escalation point for blocking issues, dependencies, and risks.
  • AWS/GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or Architect certification is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to meet home office technical requirements, including at least 15 Mbps primary internet, 10 Mbps backup internet, a supported primary and backup device, webcam, noise-canceling USB headset, quiet dedicated workspace, and smartphone.
