Description

  • Validate AI-reformatted procedures against original source documents to ensure no content is omitted or altered.
  • Confirm SOP formatting follows the HPOG Best Practice in Procedure Formatting standard.
  • Identify and flag paraphrased, reordered, truncated, duplicated, or unintentionally changed content.
  • Review reformatted procedures for readability, consistency, and usability for end users.
  • Verify AI-generated compliance flags are accurate and correctly mapped to applicable regulations or standards.
  • Evaluate AI-generated revisions for technical reasonableness and alignment with source requirements.
  • Cross-reference documents against internal policies, standards, and external frameworks to identify conflicts, gaps, or inconsistencies.
  • Record precise defects with source and output references, then verify corrections through regression testing.
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to explain findings and track recurring error patterns.
  • Follow established review processes while handling repetitive, high-volume document validation tasks.

Requirements

  • A degree or recent academic background in engineering, science, technical writing, quality assurance, environmental studies, occupational health and safety, or a related field.
  • Up to 2 years of professional experience in engineering, technical documentation, quality assurance, compliance, operations, or a related area; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience reviewing, comparing, editing, or authoring detailed documents such as SOPs, policies, standards, reports, regulatory submissions, or technical documentation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to perform methodical comparisons across large document volumes.
  • Strong written English and the ability to explain errors, discrepancies, and compliance concerns clearly.
  • Patience and focus to complete repetitive, process-driven document review work accurately.
  • Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to learn unfamiliar technical or regulatory concepts through training and independent research.
  • Comfort using document management, quality assurance, collaboration, or issue-tracking tools.
  • Practical experience or academic exposure in oil and gas, energy, manufacturing, industrial, environmental, or process-safety sectors is preferred.
  • Familiarity with regulatory or industry frameworks such as AER, OGC, API Recommended Practices, OSHA PSM, or ISO standards is preferred.
  • Certification or formal training in HSE, process safety, quality management, technical writing, regulatory compliance, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Exposure to environmental compliance documentation, including EPEA approvals, emissions reporting, or provincial and federal environmental requirements, is preferred.

Benefits

  • Salary of $1,500-$1,700 per month.
  • Monday to Friday schedule, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
