Description

  • Verify AI-reformatted SOPs against source procedures to ensure content is complete, accurate, and unchanged in meaning or order.
  • Confirm that steps, warnings, cautions, notes, references, and supplemental sections are preserved in the output.
  • Validate procedure formatting, numbering, conditional logic, layout, and usability against HPOG Best Practice in Procedure Formatting.
  • Review documents for readability and operational clarity from a field operator or technician perspective.
  • Log defects with precise references to source and output locations so fixes are clear and actionable.
  • Review AI-generated regulatory compliance flags for accuracy, relevance, and correct mapping to requirements or standards.
  • Evaluate AI-generated compliance suggestions for technical soundness and alignment with regulatory intent.
  • Cross-check corporate standards and policies against the client’s internal policy library to identify conflicts, gaps, or inconsistencies.
  • Perform regression testing after platform updates to verify formatting conformance and compliance quality.
  • Track recurring error patterns and partner with product and engineering to improve models and workflows.

Requirements

  • Oil and gas technical documentation experience, including reviewing, authoring, or maintaining SOPs, procedures, standards, or regulatory-facing documentation.
  • Working knowledge of at least one relevant regulatory framework, such as AER, OGC, API Recommended Practices, OSHA PSM 29 CFR 1910.119, or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to high-volume document comparison and review.
  • Clear written communication skills for producing defect reports and review commentary that technical and non-technical stakeholders can use.
  • Comfort using document management systems and/or issue tracking tools for defect logging, pattern tracking, and regression results.
  • Certification or formal training in HSE, process safety, quality management, or management systems is preferred.
  • Experience with pipeline integrity, wellsite, or facilities documentation is preferred.
  • Background in regulatory affairs, compliance auditing, or management system governance is preferred.
  • Prior experience reviewing AI-generated content for accuracy, completeness, and safety or compliance risk is preferred.
  • Exposure to environmental compliance documentation, such as approvals, emissions reporting, or environmental management requirements, is preferred.
