Description

  • Own and contribute to architecture and development across products, with accountability for both frontend and backend systems.
  • Develop and optimize backend API services with test-driven development, advanced caching, and messaging for reliability and scalability.
  • Deliver high-quality frontend experiences using modern frameworks and component-based architectures.
  • Integrate and support observability, logging, and monitoring to improve reliability and incident response.
  • Apply security and compliance best practices across frontend, backend, and API layers, including authentication, authorization, rate limiting, and OWASP standards.
  • Use LLMs and AI tools to write, refactor, test, and debug code efficiently, with appropriate guardrails.
  • Participate in design reviews, deep dives, and on-call rotations to support operational excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and other stakeholders to ensure strong user experiences at scale.
  • Contribute to the growth and stability of the platform across micro-frontends and distributed backend systems.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building and scaling backend systems and high-performance frontend applications.
  • Strong backend engineering and distributed systems design experience with API development, data modeling, and systems architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with Node.js, with NestJS preferred, TypeScript, MongoDB, and Redis.
  • Experience with backend performance optimization, caching strategies, and event-driven architectures such as Redis, Kafka, or Pub/Sub.
  • Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as Vue, Angular, or React, plus CSS libraries like Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.
  • Advanced experience with complex state management libraries such as Redux, Vuex, or MobX.
  • Experience optimizing frontend performance and web vitals at scale, including SSR, edge, or hybrid rendering architectures.
  • Familiarity with production observability tools for monitoring, tracing, error tracking, and profiling, such as Grafana, Prometheus, Sentry, or PostHog.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices across the full stack, including authentication, authorization, access control, secure data flow, and privacy compliance.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to drive technical discussions and mentor junior engineers.
