Description

  • Own and contribute to architecture and development across frontend and backend products.
  • Develop and optimize backend API services with test-driven development for reliability and scalability.
  • Build and deliver high-quality frontend experiences using modern component-based frameworks and state management patterns.
  • Integrate observability, logging, monitoring, and tracing to improve reliability and incident response.
  • Apply security and compliance best practices across frontend, backend, and API layers.
  • Use LLMs and AI tools to write, refactor, test, and debug code with reliability guardrails.
  • Participate in design reviews, deep dives, and on-call rotations to support operational excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and other cross-functional partners to solve complex platform issues.
  • Investigate and resolve critical voice service issues, including carrier-level call blocking and SIP errors.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building and scaling backend systems and high-performance frontend applications.
  • Strong backend and distributed systems design experience with API development, data modeling, and systems architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with Node.js, preferably NestJS, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
  • Experience with backend performance optimization, caching strategies, and event-driven architectures such as Redis, Kafka, or Pub/Sub.
  • Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
  • Experience with advanced state management libraries such as Redux, Vuex, or MobX.
  • Experience optimizing frontend performance and web vitals at scale, including SSR, edge, or hybrid rendering architectures.
  • Familiarity with production observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Sentry, or PostHog.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, including authentication, authorization, access control, secure data flow, and privacy compliance.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior engineers.
