Description

  • Own messaging strategy and brand voice across all customer touchpoints, from first ad impression through post-purchase and subscription communications.
  • Lead, hire, and build a team of copywriters across direct response, performance marketing, and email/SMS functions.
  • Develop persuasive copy for landing pages, long-form VSLs, short-form ads, email campaigns, product pages, and review sites.
  • Create ad copy frameworks for Meta, TikTok, Google, Bing, and native advertising platforms.
  • Drive email and SMS copy strategy to improve open rates, click-through rates, and conversion metrics.
  • Partner with the Creative Director to ensure copy and visual creative elements work together seamlessly.
  • Establish copy testing frameworks, run experiments, and drive a culture of continuous optimization based on results.
  • Ensure all content meets FTC compliance standards for the supplement industry.
  • Support new product launches with compelling cross-channel copy and go-to-market messaging.
  • Collaborate with Product Development to translate ingredient science into clear customer benefits and value propositions.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of copywriting experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in direct response and performance marketing, ideally in health, wellness, or supplement industries.
  • Experience managing, developing, and scaling copywriting teams.
  • Demonstrated understanding of customer psychology and what drives purchase decisions.
  • Ability to write across formats including long-form VSLs, short-form ads, email, landing pages, and social.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using copy testing, analytics, and optimization to improve performance.
  • Familiarity with FTC compliance requirements for health and supplement marketing.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with DTC ecommerce and subscription businesses (preferred).
  • Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across distributed teams.
