Description

  • Develop deep, context-rich views on crypto event-driven situations to create informational edge over the market.
  • Own event-driven situations end to end and maintain an ongoing view as facts and narratives evolve.
  • Monitor new information as it emerges and distinguish signal from noise.
  • Translate fragmented and evolving information into clear judgments about what matters and how it affects positioning and risk.
  • Identify actionable, asymmetric opportunities early based on a well-developed understanding of the situation.
  • Communicate how new developments change the decision set and probability tree.
  • Work alongside on-chain and real-time intelligence teams to support research coverage.
  • Collaborate with engineering to shape tools and workflows that support event-driven trading and research.
  • Contribute to improving the firm’s research capabilities and decision-making process.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in information- and flow-driven research or trading within a tier-1 buy-side or proprietary trading environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in event-driven settings where outcomes depend on incomplete information, incentives, and evolving situations.
  • Comfort engaging with a wide range of event-driven situations and quickly building conviction across diverse topics.
  • Genuine intellectual curiosity about crypto, with a credible path to ramp up quickly; deep crypto experience is not required.
  • Backgrounds in macro, EM, FX, commodities, event-driven, or special situations research are a strong fit.
  • Experience in environments where information flow, positioning, and timing are central.
  • Ability to go deep into details while maintaining a holistic view of the situation and its implications.
  • Ability to hold coherent views and adapt them as situations evolve.
  • Comfort with rigorous debate, constructive challenge, and collaboration across research, trading, and engineering teams.
  • Strong intrinsic motivation to become an exceptional, top-tier researcher.
