Description

  • Develop and implement a software configuration management infrastructure aligned with DO-178C guidelines.
  • Select, install, configure, and integrate configuration management tools and systems with existing development environments.
  • Establish version control systems, build systems, and artifact repositories to manage software configuration items.
  • Define and maintain configuration baselines with cross-functional teams to ensure traceability and integrity.
  • Own the problem reporting and change request process to track and resolve software issues.
  • Organise and run Change Control Boards to review and approve change requests before implementation.
  • Collaborate with software development, testing, and quality assurance teams to support smooth software delivery.
  • Provide training and support to engineering teams on configuration management tools, processes, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in software configuration management within the aerospace and defence industry.
  • Track record of implementing and managing a DO-178C-compliant software configuration management infrastructure.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git and SVN.
  • Experience with build systems such as Jenkins and Bamboo.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as IBM Rational and Jira.
  • Strong understanding of DO-178C guidelines and requirements, especially in software configuration and change management.
  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders at all levels, including the C-Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, high-paced environment.
  • Local and potentially other NATO security clearance may be required.
