Description

  • Direct the integration and performance of passive RF sensing systems from initial requirements through flight test.
  • Translate mission threat scenarios into measurable sensor requirements.
  • Define antenna architectures for optimal direction-finding performance.
  • Specify, validate, and analyze sensor and receiver performance, including direction-finding and RF distribution.
  • Manage emitter library data, classification support, frequency agility handling, and confidence metrics.
  • Coordinate co-site and electromagnetic compatibility measures to protect sensitive receivers from onboard transmitters.
  • Execute verification and test campaigns, including installed sensor performance assessment and data interface coordination with software and avionics teams.
  • Manage technical supplier relationships, including specification reviews, acceptance tests, change requests, and issue closure.

Requirements

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience delivering passive RF sensors for airborne or complex platforms from concept to integration.
  • Understanding of threat radar phenomenology and the ability to convert scenarios into measurable sensor requirements.
  • Practical expertise with direction-finding architectures, error budgeting, and calibration.
  • Ability to specify and validate receiver performance using laboratory and flight data.
  • Experience implementing electromagnetic compatibility mitigation on platforms with strong transmitters.
  • Familiarity with emitter libraries and classification workflows (nice to have).
  • Experience defining interfaces to mission computers and avionics systems (nice to have).
