Description

  • Integrate Helsing software into complex customer and partner systems, including aircraft mission control environments.
  • Define and execute end-to-end delivery outcomes for deployed capabilities.
  • Collaborate directly with customer avionics engineers to understand data structures, APIs, databases, and network protocols.
  • Build adapters and integration components for Helsing’s cloud infrastructure.
  • Work closely with partners and customers to continuously evolve, improve, and operate Helsing software.
  • Discover and formalise customer requirements in collaboration with product teams.
  • Identify bugs and ship features directly to users.
  • Coordinate and deliver technology demonstrations in simulations and real systems.
  • Support engineering collaboration across Europe and contribute to responsible ownership of outcomes.

Requirements

  • Degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, or another relevant field.
  • Broad understanding and creative use of computer systems.
  • Comfort asking questions and digging deeply into unfamiliar systems.
  • Willingness to work with legacy systems and improve them rather than rewrite them from scratch.
  • Comfort with scripting languages such as Bash or Python and software engineering in C++, Java, Rust, or similar languages.
  • Ability to navigate and configure Linux systems.
  • Understanding of network stacks and database systems.
  • Business-level or fluent German required for roles based in Germany.
  • Experience with Rust and Python is preferred.
  • Experience with container-based, cloud-native, and edge application architectures is preferred.
  • Experience maintaining and operating production systems using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar is preferred.
  • Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and streaming database systems is preferred.
  • Experience with production ML systems is preferred.
  • Professional experience working in a defence context is a bonus.
