Description

  • Implement and deploy core real-time image processing software for infrared imaging systems.
  • Configure Linux-based operating systems and develop terminal-based software.
  • Become an expert in Nix and NixOS and help define embedded systems based on them.
  • Contribute to real-time, high-bandwidth processing pipelines in C++ and/or CUDA.
  • Define and implement test and simulation environments using software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop methods.
  • Support end-to-end system delivery from initial design through manufacturing, deployment, and sustainment.
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team to solve challenging problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the infrared sensor systems and existing image processing software.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional C++ software development experience.
  • Experience using development tools such as Git, Jira, and CI/CD systems.
  • Experience developing low-latency, high-throughput software on Linux-based systems.
  • Knowledge of Linux system utilities and basic configuration.
  • Experience testing and debugging firmware on hardware platforms.
  • Experience with networking, security, and distributed systems fundamentals.
  • Ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies and frameworks.
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly and produce detailed technical documentation.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance.
  • Experience with Linux operating system configuration and Linux kernel development is preferred.
  • Experience with C, Rust, Python, or other programming languages is preferred.
  • Familiarity with graphics programming or image processing is preferred.
  • Experience with connectivity and high-performance networking software development is preferred.
  • Experience with Nix/NixOS is a plus.
  • Active U.S. Secret security clearance is preferred.
