Description

  • Lead the technical direction for the Payment Platform and Clearinghouse Platform teams.
  • Design fault-tolerant, observable, and deeply reconciled integrations with third-party payment and payer services.
  • Build abstractions and standards that help adjacent engineering teams ship faster and more safely on top of the platform.
  • Write code in high-leverage areas while serving as a hands-on technical leader.
  • Mentor senior engineers across multiple pods and elevate engineering practices.
  • Partner with engineering leadership to make foundational platform decisions for money movement systems.
  • Improve operational excellence, reliability, throughput, and correctness across payment and claims workflows.
  • Support systems that handle charges, payouts, claims filing, and claim reconciliation across a growing network.

Requirements

  • Experience designing and operating distributed systems with concurrency, idempotency, and partial failure handling.
  • Strong backend engineering experience with TypeScript and/or Python 3.
  • Experience working with platform, payment, billing, or reconciliation systems is preferred.
  • Ability to work across backend logic and frontend state management.
  • Track record of turning ambiguous problems into shipped software and driving outcomes end to end.
  • Ability to make technical decisions that optimize for maintainability and scale.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and leading design discussions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
  • Comfort learning complex, unfamiliar domains quickly; prior healthcare experience is not required.
  • Experience experimenting with AI tools or LLMs for workflows, automation, or developer tooling is preferred.
