Description

  • Contribute to the global sourcing strategy and design the supplier network for the assigned category.
  • Lead regional implementation and execution of the global sourcing strategy and supply network redesign.
  • Manage a team of Costing Analysts, including goal setting, performance management, coaching, and policy compliance.
  • Provide accurate and timely "Should Be" cost estimates for new product development, refresh, and carry-forward items.
  • Apply and refine product cost models using current cost data, factory rates, and competitive benchmarks.
  • Deliver regional cost benchmarking and landed-cost analysis to support sourcing allocation decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain product cost transparency and meet project milestones.
  • Lead the costing process during product development to help meet product cost targets.
  • Coordinate supplier quote submissions, supplier negotiations, and updates in Hasbro costing systems.
  • Support annual cost reduction and factory rate negotiations with assigned suppliers.
  • Help maintain the sourcing productivity pipeline through productivity initiatives and cost-reduction projects.
  • Visit supplier factory floors to validate cost assumptions, benchmark rates, and evaluate potential new suppliers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in costing, manufacturing engineering, and/or sourcing roles.
  • At least 3 years of experience at the managerial level.
  • Technical degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Finance, or a product costing-related discipline.
  • Practical knowledge of factory rates, time studies, product costing, and local wages and benefits.
  • Good knowledge of Toy & Games manufacturing cost drivers, including molding, decoration, assembly, pack-out, and key materials such as resins, paper/packaging, paint, and electronic components.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Approximately 20% travel to regional factories.
  • Experience with Hasbro costing systems such as P2M, PQS, and E-connect is beneficial.
  • Experience supporting Design to Value, Design for Manufacturing, or Kaizen/Lean/Gemba events is beneficial.
  • Strong negotiation ability and willingness to make difficult decisions are emphasized.
