Description

  • Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows across cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
  • Write and tune complex SQL queries for analytics, reporting, and data modeling.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of data engineering infrastructure with guidance from senior engineers and technical leads.
  • Support data quality monitoring and validation to ensure accurate, complete, and reliable data products.
  • Contribute to code reviews, testing, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analytics engineers, and business partners to deliver scalable data solutions.
  • Assist in integrating AI and machine learning solutions into data workflows.
  • Develop familiarity with data governance practices, including metadata management and data lineage.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated skills through internships, academic projects, or self-directed work.
  • Solid foundation in SQL with experience extracting, transforming, and analyzing data.
  • Exposure to at least one scripting language, with Python preferred.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data ecosystems such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Understanding of core data engineering concepts, including ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and batch processing.
  • Interest in or familiarity with tools such as DBT, Databricks, Airflow, Snowflake, or Kafka.
  • Self-starter mindset with curiosity for solving unstructured data problems and working with large datasets.
  • Familiarity with or interest in AI-enabled development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
