Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain distributed backend services that operate at scale and high availability.
  • Design and evolve APIs and integrations between platform systems and partner teams.
  • Model and optimize data solutions across relational and non-relational databases, ensuring performance and consistency.
  • Build event-driven architectures for reliable large-scale information processing.
  • Ensure production quality and reliability through automated testing, observability, safe deployments, and rigorous code reviews.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions and the technical evolution of the team’s engineering standards.
  • Own deliveries end to end, from technical refinement and design through production operation and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with Product, Data, Platform, and partner teams, providing visibility and influencing solutions with data-driven input.

Requirements

  • Experience in backend development, preferably with .NET/C#.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server and non-relational databases such as MongoDB.
  • Experience with APIs and services in production at scale.
  • Experience with messaging or event-driven architectures such as Kafka.
  • A strong quality mindset, including automated testing, thorough code review, and care with production deployments.
  • Autonomy to drive deliveries and communicate clearly with the team and stakeholders.
  • Experience with Data Lake, Databricks, or data pipelines is a plus.
  • Experience with observability tools such as DataDog and OpenTelemetry is a plus.
