Description

  • Own a defined product area end-to-end, from problem framing and discovery through delivery, measurement, and iteration.
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Engineering Leads to define roadmap priorities, scope, and trade-offs.
  • Translate complex, ambiguous problem spaces into clear hypotheses, design principles, and scalable solutions.
  • Design, test, and ship web experiences including flows, information architecture, interaction models, and polished UI.
  • Apply systems thinking across workflows, roles, permissions, and data models to ensure solutions scale coherently.
  • Run customer research and validation through interviews, usability testing, and lightweight feedback loops.
  • Synthesize customer insights into patterns and themes to inform product decisions and design direction.
  • Design AI-assisted experiences, including agentic workflows, conversational interfaces, and voice-enabled interactions.
  • Collaborate with Engineers to ensure designs are feasible, performant, and thoughtfully implemented.
  • Champion and evolve the design system, participate in critiques, and contribute documentation and shared patterns.

Requirements

  • Typically 5–8 years of experience designing and shipping web-based SaaS, B2B, or enterprise products with real users at scale.
  • A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership, including problem framing, exploration, execution, and measurable impact.
  • Strong product judgment and a track record of delivering consistently high-quality design solutions in complex product environments.
  • Experience designing data-dense, information-rich interfaces such as dashboards, tables, filters, comparison views, or reporting tools.
  • Good judgment on when to go deep on research versus use fast validation, with familiarity using research platforms such as Great Question or similar.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously on ambiguous problems and move work forward without excessive direction.
  • Strong systems thinking across workflows, roles, permissions, and interconnected product surfaces.
  • Fluency with modern design tools and workflows, including Figma, prototyping, design systems, and documentation.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for presenting work and rationale to cross-functional partners.
  • Willingness to collaborate across time zones, including working later in the afternoon or early evening to partner with Australia-based colleagues.
  • Preferred: Experience designing and shipping AI-assisted or AI-augmented product experiences.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with agentic workflows, conversational UX, and emerging patterns for AI-driven interfaces.
  • Preferred: Experience with voice interaction design, multimodal inputs, or non-traditional UI patterns.
  • Preferred: Experience working with data, analytics, or platform teams on products where accuracy, trust, and explainability matter.
  • Preferred: Background in complex domains such as marketplaces, procurement, operations tooling, analytics platforms, or financial systems.
  • Preferred: Comfort with design engineering techniques, including working close to code or prototyping with code.
  • Preferred: Hands-on use of AI-driven design tools such as ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, or Figma Make.
