Description

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable platform services and APIs that support product and integration needs.
  • Own delivery across platform components including integrations, APIs, and extensibility surfaces (plugin frameworks).
  • Lead the delivery of roadmap‑critical platform capabilities such as the Property Graph and integration surfaces.
  • Evaluate architectural tradeoffs to ensure system reliability, scalability, and extensibility.
  • Build and improve APIs and plugin frameworks to enable partner integrations and ecosystem expansion.
  • Ensure integrations operate reliably across diverse customer environments and reduce operational overhead.
  • Improve platform reliability, observability, instrumentation, and application performance using production telemetry and monitoring data.
  • Participate in incident response and root‑cause analysis, implement preventative improvements, and ensure safe rollouts.
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering stakeholders to support cross‑team execution for growth, retention, and platform milestones.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Experience building platform services, APIs, or infrastructure systems and owning features from design through production outcomes.
  • Experience improving system reliability, observability, instrumentation, and application performance.
  • Demonstrated experience working on distributed systems or complex backend platforms.
  • Familiarity with Go (Golang), Ruby on Rails, and Rust (technologies used at HappyCo).
  • Strong collaboration skills working across engineering and product teams.
  • Preferred: experience designing graph‑based data models or complex domain modeling.
  • Preferred: experience building developer platforms, plugin frameworks, or extensibility systems, and background with integration‑heavy SaaS platforms; familiarity with cloud‑native architecture and distributed systems.
