Description

  • Collaborate with Account Executives to drive new and continued business within the territory.
  • Provide architectural security guidance and solution recommendations to prospects and customers.
  • Work with engineering teams to design new cyber security offerings for the regional customer base.
  • Develop business and security program recommendations aligned to customer outcomes.
  • Research emerging cyber technologies and articulate their value for adoption and integration.
  • Participate in sales, marketing, industry events, conferences, and forums to promote GuidePoint offerings.
  • Drive technology adoption within the existing customer base.
  • Develop Statements of Work and proposals for engineering services offerings.
  • Author business and technical collateral for technical and managerial audiences.
  • Report to the VP of Security Architecture and support client meetings and QBRs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an enterprise-level security consultative, vendor, or operational role building and assessing information security architectures and programs.
  • Deep proficiency in multiple security technologies, including network security, NGFW, cloud security, data security, vulnerability and risk management, proxy, EDR, IAM, SIEM and analytics, and AI security.
  • Proficiency in operating systems including Windows, OSX, Linux, and other client/server platforms.
  • Strong networking and security troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to understand client security gaps and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Excellent communication and soft skills with the ability to explain complex technical content to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working with teams to create new service offerings and supporting collateral.
  • Deep expertise architecting and designing enterprise-scale security solutions.
  • MSSP/MDR sales or solution experience is desired.
  • Previous cyber security presales engineering experience is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work remotely/virtually when not visiting client locations.
  • Availability for 15-25% travel for client meetings, QBRs, and related events.
  • Must live in Northern Virginia for this client-facing presales role.
