Description

Define measurable metrics and variables to analyze business problems and recommend actions.
Own analytical workstreams end to end and generate original findings from data.
Identify problems within a domain and develop solutions to address them.
Frame and test hypotheses to support root-cause analysis.
Synthesize analyses into clear stories and present findings to stakeholders.
Partner with data science and data engineering to follow best practices for coding and scripting.
Collaborate with product and data science teams to understand project objectives and business context.
Monitor KPIs to evaluate the impact and success of product changes and improvements.
Work with large datasets and AWS analytics infrastructure to support ongoing analysis.

Requirements

B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
6+ years of experience working with data and conducting statistical and/or numerical analysis.
Strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of statistics.
Experience scripting or automating work using R or Python.
Hands-on experience with AWS analytics infrastructure such as Redshift, S3, Athena, and Boto3.
Experience with a data visualization tool such as Looker, Tableau, or Quicksight.
Strong understanding of patterns and trends, with the ability to draw insights from data.
Strong root-cause analysis and investigative analysis skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred: cross-functional experience in software development or data engineering.
Preferred: experience working with large datasets.
Preferred: basic understanding of machine learning concepts.
Preferred: experience with geo-spatial analysis using POSTGIS or QGIS.
