Description

  • Define measurable metrics and variables to analyze business problems and recommend actions.
  • Own analytical workstreams end to end and generate original findings from data.
  • Identify problems within a domain and develop solutions to address them.
  • Frame and test hypotheses to support root-cause analysis.
  • Synthesize analyses into clear stories and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Partner with data science and data engineering to follow best practices for coding and scripting.
  • Collaborate with product and data science teams to understand project objectives and business context.
  • Monitor KPIs to evaluate the impact and success of product changes and improvements.
  • Work with large datasets and AWS analytics infrastructure to support ongoing analysis.

Requirements

  • B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience working with data and conducting statistical and/or numerical analysis.
  • Strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of statistics.
  • Experience scripting or automating work using R or Python.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS analytics infrastructure such as Redshift, S3, Athena, and Boto3.
  • Experience with a data visualization tool such as Looker, Tableau, or Quicksight.
  • Strong understanding of patterns and trends, with the ability to draw insights from data.
  • Strong root-cause analysis and investigative analysis skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Preferred: cross-functional experience in software development or data engineering.
  • Preferred: experience working with large datasets.
  • Preferred: basic understanding of machine learning concepts.
  • Preferred: experience with geo-spatial analysis using POSTGIS or QGIS.
