Description

  • Analyze short- and long-term trends to inform product direction and game strategy.
  • Collaborate with product teams to improve revenue, retention, and engagement metrics.
  • Design and run statistically sound A/B tests and other experiments.
  • Build and maintain dashboards used by leadership and game designers.
  • Design and maintain ETL pipelines across multiple data sources.
  • Design game telemetry to capture meaningful player interaction data.
  • Analyze player behavior and translate findings into actionable improvements.
  • Support economy tuning to improve long-term game and feature health.
  • Lead improvements to fraud detection and bad actor models.
  • Maintain the integrity of analytics tools and models used for workflow automation and personalization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in data science or analytics, preferably in product data science or gaming analytics.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Experience in data mining, data visualization, statistical analysis, and machine learning.
  • Experience guiding product teams through complex decisions using ambiguous data.
  • Experience or strong interest in improving analytics team processes and efficiency using LLMs.
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau and version control systems such as Git is advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, take ownership of challenges, and solve problems independently.
  • Familiarity with poker gameplay, social casino economies, AI/ML concepts, or automation of recurring analytics workflows is a plus.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $96,400 to $135,000 per year in Ontario.
  • Bonus and/or equity awards may be included in total compensation.
