Description

  • Design, build, and maintain reusable developer tooling such as CLI tools, NPM libraries, and Kotlin libraries used across engineering teams.
  • Enable a consistent and friction-free local development experience for engineers.
  • Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the developer workflow by working proactively with engineering teams.
  • Contribute to and enforce standards for code reusability and maintainability across packages and libraries.
  • Integrate AI tooling, including LLMs, agentic workflows, and code generation, into CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows.
  • Build AI-assisted automation for test generation, code review, and performance anomaly detection.
  • Evaluate and adopt emerging AI developer tools and drive their adoption across engineering.
  • Design observability solutions that use AI to surface actionable signals from Datadog and other monitoring platforms.
  • Partner with architects, developers, QA, and leadership to design and execute performance testing strategy and communicate results.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on developer tooling, platform engineering, or DevOps.
  • Experience with Kotlin and TypeScript/Node.js backend development.
  • Cloud experience, preferably with AWS.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Ambassador, and Helm.
  • Experience with GitHub Actions or other CI systems such as CircleCI, Jenkins, or TravisCI.
  • Experience with continuous delivery tools such as ArgoCD or equivalent.
  • Software and shared library development experience.
  • Familiarity with major AI tools and infrastructure.
  • Strong systems-thinking ability and comfort working across platform architecture and day-to-day engineer pain points.
  • Ability to communicate clearly across engineering, QA, and leadership and to lead or mentor peers in a distributed environment.
