Description

  • Develop desktop applications for Windows and Linux environments.
  • Integrate cloud data and deployment capabilities while maintaining user authentication and security.
  • Create Python automation scripts for debug and prototype development.
  • Triage issues, identify root causes, and coordinate next steps to resolve failures.
  • Partner with end users to translate needs into features while balancing user experience and engineering constraints.
  • Work on test executive software that systematically and thoroughly tests products.
  • Build analytics to improve the development cycle and increase testing throughput.
  • Champion automation to reduce operator time and instruction complexity.
  • Continuously improve automation methods, user interfaces, and data analytics.
  • Collaborate on complex, multi-platform problems with heavy reliance on cloud data systems.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Expertise in software development with Python.
  • Experience integrating or developing low-level code and device libraries or drivers.
  • Experience working in CI/CD and designing DevOps automation for application deployment and testing.
  • Experience working on multi-disciplinary projects with Electrical, Mechanical, and Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Experience in automated unit, integration, and system-level testing.
  • Expertise in version control using git.
  • Ability to travel to Costa Mesa Headquarters 25-50% if located at another site.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience (preferred).
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial software (preferred).
  • Understanding of device communication protocols such as USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, RS485, and Ethernet (preferred).
  • Expertise in desktop application development with WPF and C# (preferred).
  • Experience in embedded systems (preferred).
  • Experience in automated unit, integration, and system-level testing for non-software products (preferred).
  • Proficient with RESTful services in AWS/Azure infrastructure (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of a major relational database such as DB2 or SQL Server, and/or NoSQL (preferred).
  • Pursuing a Master’s in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience with test automation or cloud deployment tools (preferred).
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance (preferred).
