Description

  • Own new insurance product features and offerings within the product roadmap.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment on feature prioritization with a focus on market differentiation and growth.
  • Develop detailed business requirements for new product features.
  • Manage cross-functional efforts to build and launch new features to market.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings in the level-funded commercial insurance space.
  • Prioritize product enhancements and evaluations across the organization.
  • Maintain product lifecycle governance, including product variation governance, prioritization processes, and portfolio review.
  • Establish planning rhythms and operating cadences connecting strategy to execution across actuarial, underwriting, compliance, operations, and technology.
  • Partner with compliance and regulatory stakeholders to embed regulatory requirements into product development and reduce launch risk.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in health insurance product management, product operations, or a related function.
  • Demonstrated experience building or significantly maturing business product management processes, governance frameworks, or operating models.
  • Familiarity with the health insurance product lifecycle, including regulatory filings, benefit design, underwriting considerations, and go-to-market requirements.
  • Strong experience driving cross-functional alignment across actuarial, compliance, operations, and technology stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • MBA or MPH preferred.
  • Experience with small group level-funded insurance products is an extra credit qualification.
  • Previous startup company experience is preferred.
