Description

  • Work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering partners to deliver product and business strategy.
  • Build new products and features for the comments experience that improve user engagement and usability.
  • Contribute across the full development cycle, including technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch.
  • Review code and design documents and provide feedback on product specs and mocks.
  • Participate on a fast-moving engineering team focused on shipping high-impact work.
  • Help define and improve engineering standards and developer workflows.
  • Recommend best practices for the team’s technical execution.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support their technical growth.
  • Continuously develop technical and non-technical capabilities.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on software development experience in front-end focused programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, and ES6.
  • Experience with front-end web frameworks such as LIT, Polymer, React, Vue, or Angular.
  • Experience with CSS.
  • Experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, and Thrift basics.
  • Ability to design and implement maintainable APIs.
  • Experience with distributed caching layers.
  • Experience with distributed large-scale data storage systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work and deliver on schedule.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with web engineers and cross-functional partners such as product managers and designers.
  • Self-directed, innovative, and comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Excellent communication skills.
