Description

  • Influence the team roadmap and contribute to personal career objectives.
  • Deliver new features with the team and iterate based on results and feedback.
  • Drive projects from initial ideation through operations after customer release.
  • Contribute to open-source projects beyond the immediate team scope.
  • Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems with ownership of reliability, performance, and availability.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and take ownership of the services you run.
  • Mentor and support team members and participate in design discussions.
  • Collaborate closely with teammates, customers, and Grafana Cloud teams in a remote-first environment.
  • Work on distributed systems for alert ingestion, delivery, and evaluation at cloud scale.

Requirements

  • Applications are being accepted from Germany for this remote opportunity.
  • Solid experience with at least one programming language.
  • Experience with Go, or familiarity with Python, Java, C++, Rust, or similar languages.
  • Some experience delivering projects from requirements gathering through shipping a product.
  • Some experience developing software that runs in the cloud or in systems engineering.
  • Experience writing clean, robust, performant software that is maintainable by others.
  • Independent attitude and strong communication skills for a fully remote team setup.
  • A customer-focused mindset and ability to break down complex challenges into iterative solutions.
  • Preferred: experience working on large distributed systems.
  • Preferred: experience with open-source software or open-source communities.
