Description

  • Design and build AI-powered workflows, agents, analytics tools, and internal assistants that turn People data into actionable insights and reduce manual work.
  • Architect solutions centered on BigQuery while integrating systems such as Workday, Greenhouse, Docebo, Tangelo, Salesforce, and other internal platforms.
  • Create scalable data pipelines, automation frameworks, and AI-enabled workflows that improve operational efficiency.
  • Establish CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, observability standards, prompt engineering practices, version control, and evaluation frameworks for AI systems.
  • Partner with People Analytics to ensure AI solutions use well-governed, high-quality datasets and align with workforce metrics and data models.
  • Define success metrics and track measurable outcomes such as efficiency gains, time savings, and improved decision quality.
  • Design secure systems for sensitive employee data using anonymization, aggregation, access controls, and responsible AI practices.
  • Set governance standards for AI models, prompts, and automation workflows, and implement monitoring to ensure accuracy, fairness, and reliability over time.
  • Collaborate across People, Data Engineering, IT, Security and Privacy, Finance, and GTM Operations to align architecture and AI capabilities.
  • Provide technical leadership by setting direction, mentoring engineers, documenting systems, and enabling People teams to adopt AI tools and workflows.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of engineering or data engineering experience, including 2+ years working with AI/ML systems or LLM-based workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to set technical direction, mentor engineers, and drive organization-wide impact through AI or automation initiatives.
  • Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery for data processing and analytics.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, modern APIs, and LLM platforms or frameworks such as OpenAI, Gemini, or Claude.
  • Experience integrating enterprise SaaS systems such as HRIS or CRM platforms.
  • Experience designing scalable data pipelines, automation frameworks, and analytics platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and analytics infrastructure.
  • Experience working with sensitive data environments and implementing responsible AI practices, including anonymization, access controls, governance, and regulatory considerations.
  • Ability to partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders, document systems clearly, and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Preferred experience with HR technology ecosystems such as Workday, Greenhouse, and learning platforms, as well as People Analytics, workflow automation tools, high-growth SaaS, distributed organizations, or AI governance/open-source contributions.

  • Base salary range in Canada of CAD 186,368 to CAD 223,642, depending on level, experience, and skillset.
