Description

  • Influence the team roadmap and own personal career objectives.
  • Deliver new features with the team and iterate based on results.
  • Drive projects from initial idea through customer operations.
  • Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems with ownership of reliability, performance, and availability.
  • Participate in follow-the-sun on-call rotations and own the services being run.
  • Support teammates, join design discussions, and collaborate on technical decisions.
  • Write and review pull requests and design documents from other engineers.
  • Help shepherd automated release rollouts.
  • Contribute to other open-source projects beyond the immediate team scope.
  • Use production learnings to improve performance and reliability of the system.

Requirements

  • Remote candidates must be located in the United States time zones.
  • Solid experience with at least one programming language; Go is used, and familiarity with Python, C, C++, Rust, or similar is relevant.
  • Experience delivering projects from requirements gathering and brainstorming through shipping a product to customers in a self-driven way.
  • Experience developing software that runs in the cloud or experience in systems engineering.
  • Experience being on-call and working in a DevOps model.
  • Experience writing clean, robust, performant, and maintainable software.
  • Familiarity with observability systems and knowing when to use metrics, logs, and traces to debug problems.
  • Good communication skills and an independent attitude for a fully remote team.
  • Good time management skills and a customer-focused, pragmatic approach.
  • Preferred experience working with Kubernetes, queue systems such as Kafka, microservices, distributed systems, or infrastructure as code.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of USD 154,445 to USD 185,334 in the United States.
  • Equity eligibility.
  • Bonus eligibility, if applicable.
