Description

  • Support dispatch and technical coordination for GFiber service installation, repair, and maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues impacting residential and small business fiber services.
  • Coordinate multiple Outside Plant repair and maintenance resources across concurrent incidents.
  • Manage install fulfillment dispatch, including route optimization and technician call handling.
  • Diagnose and correct service-impacting root causes from central office or remote locations to customer premises equipment.
  • Perform or support maintenance and troubleshooting work across inside and outside plant infrastructure.
  • Work with telecom spaces and network equipment including Ethernet jacks, cross-connects, fiber optic cables, radios, patch panels, and related hardware.
  • Navigate customer interactions with professionalism, thoroughness, and strong service focus.
  • Use field service support software and computer systems to document and manage work.
  • Adhere to company entry and documentation policies, including time-bound and procedural requirements.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in FTTH, GPON, XGS network construction, or large-scale fiber network deployments.
  • 3 years of experience managing relationships with contractors and vendors.
  • 3 years of experience using GIS or equivalent mapping systems.
  • Experience with field services dispatch in telecom or a similar industry.
  • Experience using a computer in a professional setting.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.
  • Preferred: 3 years of experience with fiber splicing for termination and midspan use cases, OTDR testing, and power meter testing.
  • Preferred: 3 years of experience with fiber-to-the-B2B/enterprise fiber network construction or operations.
  • Preferred: Experience troubleshooting Ethernet issues related to routers, switches, and hubs.
  • Preferred: Experience with rack-and-stack work, server stanchions, telemetry closet work, and patch panels.
  • Preferred: Experience operating Google Workspace, Oracle Field Services Cloud (OFSC), and/or Salesforce Field Service Lightning (FSL).

Benefits

  • $74,000 to $81,000 base salary.
