Description

  • Own a portfolio of strategic and enterprise accounts in Germany, including both new business acquisition and account expansion.
  • Lead complex sales cycles from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and close.
  • Develop and execute account plans aligned to customer priorities and GitLab platform capabilities.
  • Collaborate with pre-sales, customer success, support, and channel partners to support evaluations, rollouts, and long-term adoption.
  • Act as the voice of the customer by sharing feedback and product ideas with internal stakeholders and in GitLab’s public issue tracker.
  • Generate and nurture qualified pipeline through outreach, partner activities, and existing relationships.
  • Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and forecast reporting and contribute to win/loss analysis.
  • Partner with Marketing on account-based and regional campaigns to drive pipeline and expansion.
  • Navigate complex buying centers and support enterprise customers adopting GitLab at scale.

Requirements

  • Experience owning and growing large, complex accounts across both new business and expansion.
  • Background selling to strategic or enterprise organizations, ideally in software, developer tools, or related technology.
  • Ability to run a consultative sales process from prospecting and discovery through proposal, negotiation, and closing.
  • Experience with account planning, forecast management, and coordinating cross-functional resources.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate customer needs into feedback for product, marketing, and technical teams.
  • Comfort discussing business value with senior stakeholders and aligning solutions to customer goals.
  • Familiarity with Git, software development tools, or application lifecycle management, and ability to learn GitLab’s platform.
  • Alignment with GitLab’s values and openness to transferable experience from different industries or backgrounds.
  • Travel expected for customer meetings and collaboration across the region.
